Protect Your USB Storage Device Using BitDefenderUSB Immunizer

If you are moving data via USB removable media, BitDefender has a great tool for you. They just released a free USB Immunizer tool. This USB Immunizer is portable, simple and easy to use, less than 2MB in size. BitDefender USB Immunizer allows you to shield your USB storage device or SD card against autorun-based malware infections. This small utility have two sections one is Immunize USB and second one is immunize computer.

The Immunize option allows you to immunize your USB storage device or SD card against infections. Even if your USB storage device has been plugged into an infected computer, the piece of malware will be unable to create its autorun.inf file, thus annihilating any chance of auto-launching itself.

The second option is to Immunize Computer slider allows you to toggle the autorun feature On or Off for any removable media (except for CD/DVD-ROM devices). If you accidentally plug in an infected USB drive that has not been immunized, the computer will not auto-execute the piece of malware located on the USB storage device.The app completely removes any threat from autorun based malwares and infections.
