RockMelt a Chromium Based Browser For Social Networking

RockMelt is a social networking web browser launched by Netscape founder Marc Andreessen. RockMelt is based on Chromium. It is going to make a mark in a crowded Web browser field that already features Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Apple’s Safari, Google’s Chrome and Mozilla’s Firefox. You can now chat, share pictures, videos and see status updates from your friends in real time. You don’t need to go to Facebook’s site to see updates going on there, and you don’t need to use a third-party programs like hootsuit or TweetDeck.

RockMelt helps you to chat and share with friends on Facebook, Twitter and other sites instantly from anywhere on the web. If you are integrating Facebook directly into the browser, you are always ready to chat, share pictures and videos or get updates from frieds and quickly sharing whatever you find interesting. RockMelt displays a user’s social profile such as Facebook and Twitter in a margin on the right hand side of the page and friends on the left hand side. This will help you keep presence in social media.

The RockMelt blog states that RockMelt promises to deliver faster search results than other browsers already available.”  We got tired of clicking back and forth trying to find the right search result. So we made search as simple as leafing through a magazine. With RockMelt, you can use your keyboard to flip through Google search results and pick the one you want. Super fast. Super cool

RockMelt is now in limited beta and you need to apply for an invitation. You can connect to it using your Facebook account on RockMelt Home Page to get an invitation.

hope it is useful for all users. Share your comments about it in the comments box below 😀
