You know what sort of internet speeds people are actually getting around the world. Included in statistics are results of the  countries by total number of internet users. The data for the report was provided by Akamai. The report points out, this data is very help us get an idea of what kind of Internet connection speeds people have in different countries.
You can see from the image below, South Korea leads the pack with a staggering average connection speed of 16.63Mbps. YES, IT’S TRUE. WOWWWW!!! The top 3 countries in the list are all from Asia. India in 45th postion. The connection speeds of China and India are well below the worldwide average.Canada beats the USA with 4.7 Mbps Vs 4.6 Mbps.
Chart which shows how the connection speeds of each country are distributed. In india average speed is in between 256 kbps – 2 Mbps. I hope the cheap and fast broadband internet connection will penetrate India in near future.
