The Monster From HYUNDAI — SANTA FE

Hyundai India is launching a new automobile in their SUV segment. SANTA FE. It is said to take over all the SUV in its class. Before this Hyundai has launched two SUVs in india TERRECAN and TUSCON. Both failed to make boom in the market. So Hyundai is well planned with Santa Fe. The main opponents they aiming are captive, x-trail, outlander, CR-V. The overall appearance gives a chubby look to the car. It is bulky and spacious too. And good ground clearance gives a hard drive on all conditions. It is meant for hard road than soft. They launching basically two models one 2WD and another 4WD.

The rectangular head lights give a muscular SUV look for the vehicle. The rear glass section also sports a very rounded look and the way the rear lights jut out of the body work is a nice stylistic detail.The Santa Fe is very easy on the eyes and overall, you definitely won’t be disappointed with its looks

The interior is well designed by Hyundai. The shape of the dashboard , the central console, glow box all are well arranged in beautiful finish. There is a six CD changer music system fitted as standard, it is opted with all new age technologies like USB and Aux in. the steering wheel is provided with audio and cruise controls. The seats are quite comfortable for long journeys. With the seats flipped up, the boot space available reduces considerably from the normally generous 969 litres.

The technical Features

The engine used in SANTA FE is 2.2litre CRDi which can produce an out put power maximum of 194bhp. And it produces a maximum torque of 44.4kg @ 1800rpm. And its been said that may felt turbo lag around 1800rpm. The vehicle drives with the help of a six speed transmission system which confirms power and smoothness in all the conditions.

The Santa Fe  uses an on-demand or part-time four-wheel-drive system. For off-road use, you can lock the centre differential at the press of a button and the Santa Fe will cope with most off-road situations with ease.
