Microsoft launches Internet Explorer 9 beta

Microsoft has released the beta for the newest version 9.0 of their ever so popular Internet Explorer browser. The new browser features a excellent user interface, hardware acceleration, and broader support for Web standards including HTML 5 and CSS 3. Internet Explorer 9 is launching with 70 partners, including Amazon, CNN, BBC, Rough Guides, IMDb, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, and more, whose sites are optimised for use with Internet Explorer 9. IE9 won’t run on Windows XP.

Microsoft says that IE9 is a reinvention of the browser. “Internet Explorer 9 uses the power of Windows and the whole PC to bring you a better web,” said Steven Sinofsky, president of the Windows and Windows Live Division at Microsoft.
