Kia’s stylish new Kia pro_cee’d added to the latest generation cee’d family and will be joined by Kia’s first ever performance orientated model. A three door version of the latest Ceed hatchback, it looks much sleeker than its earlier generation. The new Cee’d has been designed exclusively for the European market. The new Kia pro_cee’d GT is a higher-performance version of the pro_cee’d family with sexy look.Â
Kia Pro Cee’d is offered in two engine options namely 1.6-liter GDI petrol engine and 1.6-liter CRDi turbo diesel with intelligent stop. Both engines are available in new models of Kia Pro Ceed. New engines increase performance with 200bhp and 265Nm of torque. This extra power means it can reach from 0-62mph in a respectable 7.9 seconds. Suspension and steering setup is altered too for more responsive handling of car. With a compelling list of standard specifications, four trim levels, as well as powerful yet fuel efficient engines, it’s easy to see why the cee’d is a higher-performance version of the pro_cee’d family.
 
“The all new Kia pro_cee’d is a true clean sheet design,” says Peter Schreyer, President and Chief Design Officer, Kia Motors Corporation. Main changes in Kia Pro Ceed exterior are the roof, sides and rear have been redesigned. The structure of the ring-shaped central pillar and tailgate opening area has been added to ensure the safety of collisions and stiffness. Design new Kia Pro Ceed future is more unique than old one. A new front bumper design includes a larger, more aggressive looking lower grille with a red pinstripe at its base and new four-piece LED spot lamps with a glossy black surround in place of the standard pro_cee’d’s lower lamp units. The suspension has also been tuned for sportier dynamics and are claimed to be stiffer than on the regular Pro Cee’d hatch.
Inside, Kia designers have added Recaro sport seats, aluminium pedals and leather trim with contrasting stitching. Interior has been designed with stunning look and as possible with all the on-board and infotainment controls conveniently located for driver and passengers. Most useful part of interior is, there’s enough space for a couple of six-footers in the back of the car, and you don’t have to reset your driving position every time you let people in and out.
All versions of pro_cee’d have servicing intervals of 20,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes sooner. Kias, pro_cee’d comes with an industry-leading seven year / 100,000 mile warranty.
