Huawei Announced MediaPad, First Tablet Running Android 3.2

Huawei has announced their latest android tablet named as MediaPad.  The MediaPad is the world’s first 7-inch Android 3.2 Honeycomb model.  Huawei is saying that Android 3.2 is optimized version of the Honeycomb 3.1 for 7.0 inch tablet.

MediaPad have an IPS capacitive touchscreen, the 10.5mm thick MediaPad runs Qualcomm’s 1.2GHz dual-core processor.  Also has a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front, a 5-megapixel one around the back. Also 10.5mm thick and weight  just 390g only.

It’s a 3G tab (HSPA+ 14.4Mbps), also packing Wi-Fi 802.11n and GPS, and battery life is a respectable 6 hours.  It has 8GB of internal storage and also supports Bluetooth, 1080p video playback with a HDMI output. Also support 3G network, Huawei has no plans for making a WiFi-only model.  There is no information about  pricing and actual date of release, expecting release in Q4 2011.
