Samsung sells 2 million Galaxy Tabs

Now Samsung announced that its first Android tablet has been sold in more than 2 million units – this coming roughly 5 months after the Tab was first launched. This device runs on the older version of Android operating system. Galaxy Tab was launched in September and within 5 months, this tablet has reached the 2 million milestone.

The tablet sales have been distributed among Europe, North America and Asia, showing global demand for the 7-inch Android tablet. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Tab 2 which is believed will run Android 3.0 next month at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2011 in Barcelona. It was one of the first real competitors to the iPad. However, this time around it has the iPad 2, Motorola Xoom and many other tablets to fight against.
