Why 4G ?

4G stands for the fourth generation of cellular wireless standards. Currently there are two types of 4G data networks developed  – WiMax, which is developed by Sprint and its partners, and LTE – an extension of the GSM network used by Verizone, T-Mobile and AT&T. The main difference between 3G and 4G is speed. 4G speeds can be up to 10 times faster than 3G. On a 4G network the average download speed is 3-6 Mbps with peak download speed of more than 10 Mbps.

Features

  • The 4G data access speed can reach 100 Mbps (in a state of motion) up to 1 Gbps (in stationary state). This means 4G tens times faster than 3G services, or 3.5 G.
  • The faster data transmission rates of 4G protocols will support more varied and interesting applications including those that require the transmission of video; multi-user conferencing; and simultaneous transmissions.
  • 4G data connection also makes the user able to watch high quality TV streaming  (high definition TV content) without obstacles.
  • 4G  equipment costs are four to ten times cheaper than equivalent circuit-switched equipment for 2G and 3G wireless infrastructure.
